transplantion station, what's your location?
Please do read that title to the butchered tune of Conjunction Junction, cause that was totally my intention.
Step one of Project Reuse Old Characters: figuring out who I want to actually transfer. This is gonna be a fun game, by which I mean "maybe make me cry", but I have a working computer for the next hour and need to do something word-ish, so let's see how this works. All names subject to change.
Shell: Probably going to This City's Got Grace, cause his boyfriend is already transplanted here and I miss them and Bast indulges me way too much for their own good. >> Twenty-something with a giant family and a lot to prove. Mentally ill problem child turned slightly healthier adult and teen counselor. Daddy's boy. Probably witch/magician? I'm not sure how to transplant him with his family issues into being a guardian angel, which is my other thought, and Shell just isn't himself without a million siblings/cousins and a dual-edged inferiority/rage issue with them all.
The Johnson boys: Which are technically the same family, but. Four brothers, probably witches wherever they go: the teacher, the musician, the priest, and the mechanic. Or, if you prefer: the responsible one, the depressed one, the joker, and the loud friendly one. Chris, Adam, Gabriel, and Michael. Four close-knit boys who all desperately need anger management and family boundaries. Will probably retain two sisters as well (Sierra and Meda; the quiet one and the wild one). Also coming with them is Michael's, if not everyone's, magic school/commune/boyscout camp.
Jo and Rhette: The changeling and the girl who hangs on her every word. Always looking for a new, better game to play to keep Jo interested. Also possibly coming along: Tyoma, the one who keeps Rhette something like grounded and eventually third to the threesome that kind of sort of stabilizes them. I don't know what else Rhette or Tyoma might be, or if they'd just be human. (I kind of like Rhette as the human secret-keeper that Jo latches onto. Tyoma... depends on where they go. I was thinking maybe Cityverse is Bast is amendable, so... maybe a wolf, maybe a death?)
David Anthony Miller: A totally human man who can see through the masquerade and is trying to protect himself and his own. His family was killed by something not human, but he's not exactly on a rampage; just trying to survive. (I'd actually like to keep the power-negator factor from his original verse I just don't know where that would fit? Hmmph.)
Simon and Monty: Yes, this was a very elaborate future plan for Nathan's sons in Heroes at one point, but I never did anything with it, so... nyeh. The rockstar medium who fakes being a lot stupider than he is so people don't put expectations on him, and the quiet scientist little brother with a power I never figured out. (....actually come to think of it, my view for older!Monty was actually a lot like Carlos, right down to being gay. He had a massive crush for Mohinder, which is how he ended up in science in the first place. Digression over.)
Sarah Morgan and Mary Katherine: The telekinetic twins, one who was so scared of her powers she ran away from home, the other who stayed. I don't have much more on them, I think it's gonna depend on where they go.
Andra, Pete, Johnny, Ben, Faith: Okay, this is totally self-indulgent. They were ridiculous and drama-filled and going to be hard as fuck to transfer because all their personal stories were wrapped up in characters I do not feel comfortable transfering bcause they were Mat and Nora's. But dear god I miss these five so fucking much, so... I'm still gonna figure something out. Five siblings: The cheery lesbian daredevil; the nerdboy doctor who never felt like part of the family; the bouncy happy gayboy; the quiet introverted writer with the fighting problem; the overdramatic dancer and teen mother. (And just to point out how wrapped up in other people they are, my inital attempt to write started with: The daredevil with a wife and children; the doctor who feels like an outcast with everyone but his best friend; the bouncy happy gayboy who lives half his life in his best friend's pocket. God, I miss these relationships, too, but... mrrh.)
Mary Tara: The girl who doesn't want to ever be a mother and never quite grows up, but nonetheless mothers everyone incessantly. I'm thinking an angel, I'm just not sure where or what kind.
E and Em: Two thirds of triplets; the callgirl and the assassin who are both way more normal that you'd think people in their jobs could be. I was initially thinking Sentient Magic, but I'm not 100% sure anymore.
Aravis and Caspian: The modern-day cowboy and her agoraphobic little brother.
Balla: The magical ambassador. (Well, that was her original job, anyway, I'd like to see her in something similar.) Also single mother, sophisticated woman, horror fanatic, and touch-addict. You can tell we're getting to the characters I did less with, huh?
Maxwell: The bounciest vampire you ever did see. He let his cousin, who was turned against her will, turn him so that she didn't have to be alone.
Lucy March: The angel with a driven-in desire to learn about demons, whose family abused her and used her as half-bait/half-weapon, and who therefore is terrified of angels and feels more at home among demons.
Louise, Billy and Nicholas: Bast, this one's on you to poke at with me. Happy threesome needs to go somewhere, I'm thinking either City or one of the two superhero verses?
Ian and Anna: Bast, this is another one I'd need you to be up for, but I liked these two, and I'd love to put them somewhere.
Lyman: The angelic storyteller with a child-like wonder that still hasn't gone away in hundreds of years. A family man with no family and a wanderer by trade.
William: Your friendly neighborhood handyman with a supremely fucked-up supernatural past that he can remember exactly nothing about.
Mattie: The boy who grew up in a family of spies, became a secretary to spies, and then found his home blown up in pieces around him and himself thrust into a much more active role. (Originally the tenth doctor in a non-scifi Doctor Who AU. I honestly can't decide if I want to do OC things with him or just write that fic eventually.... Also could probably replace 'spies' with something magical, honestly. A coven or something.)
The bodyfail metacrisis: Originally a Who OC, a Jack/Master metacrisis whose origins gave him unlimited brainpower, very few morals, and a body that was falling apart at the metaphorical seams. Which is a character description I'd still love to put to use somewhere.
Saxon: A universe-travelling hedonist and part-time salesman who's out for information and all the good times he can gather. Mildly psychic, Chaotic Neutral to the hilt, Egoist, only loyal to himself and the people he considers his. He will probably end up in Drinksverse where his wife is, I'm just not 100% yet.
I THINK this is going to be it, I'm just not 100% sure yet. and this is if I don't scrap anything I have currently and just try to salvage the couple of worthwhile characters. So. We'll see. Next I need to actually develop verses enough that I can do things with them. Let's see how long THAT takes.
(If any of these strike someone reading as interesting enough to poke at, or if you want to poke my verse list and suggest places you think they might be interesting, feel free to ask questions/give suggestions. God knows I could use them.)
